Frozen Apple Pie Filling
Great way to make an apple pie on the fly
- 18 large apples
- 6 tbsp butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- Peel, core and slice 18 large apples.
- Put·apple slices in a pot with butter, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Cook over very low heat 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cool filling.
- Pour into three freezer containers. Enough for 3 9-inch pies.
