Crunchy Apple Coffee Cake
A great breakfast treat.
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 1 egg
- 2 apples (peeled and sliced thin)
- Mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in small bowl.
- Cut in 2 tbsp. butter until mixture is crumbly. Set aside.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl.
- Cut in 1/2 cup butter.
- Add milk and egg, stirring just until moistened.
- Spread batter in greased 9-inch square pan.
- Arrange apple slices on top. Sprinkle with topping.
- Bake at 400 degrees F for 30-35 minutes.
