Favorite meatloaf recipe

Meatloaf

  • 6 slices dry bread or toast
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 can tomato soup
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 medium onion (chopped fine)
  • 1 lb. cooked ham (ground)

Mustard Sauce

  • 1/2 can tomato soup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp prepared mustard
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp butter

Meatloaf

  1. Make bread into crumbs.
  2. Combine bread crumbs with ground beef in a mixing bowl.
  3. Beat together ½ can tomato soup, milk, egg, and onion in a separate bowl and mix with ground beef and crumbs.
  4. Add ham, mix well, and pack into 9″x 5″ loaf pan.
  5. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350°F.
  6. Let meat loaf stand 10 minutes after removing from oven.
  7. Serve with hot Mustard Sauce

Mustard Sauce

  1. When loaf is almost done baking, beat together in mixer all sauce ingredients until well mixed.
  2. Pour into saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
  3. Keep warm on low heat.
