Favorite meatloaf recipe
Meatloaf
- 6 slices dry bread or toast
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 can tomato soup
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 medium onion (chopped fine)
- 1 lb. cooked ham (ground)
Mustard Sauce
- 1/2 can tomato soup
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp prepared mustard
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp butter
Meatloaf
- Make bread into crumbs.
- Combine bread crumbs with ground beef in a mixing bowl.
- Beat together ½ can tomato soup, milk, egg, and onion in a separate bowl and mix with ground beef and crumbs.
- Add ham, mix well, and pack into 9″x 5″ loaf pan.
- Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350°F.
- Let meat loaf stand 10 minutes after removing from oven.
- Serve with hot Mustard Sauce
Mustard Sauce
- When loaf is almost done baking, beat together in mixer all sauce ingredients until well mixed.
- Pour into saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
- Keep warm on low heat.
