- 5 large apples
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- dash nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 9" unbaked pie shells
- Peel, core and slice apples thin.
- Combine apples with spices flour, sugar and salt in mixing bowl.
- Fill pie shell with apple mixture and dot with butter.
- Put top on crust and slit for steam.
- Bake at 400 °F for 50 minutes.
