- Handful of fresh mint
- ¼ cup boiling water
- Crushed ice
- ½ cup bourbon
- 2 tsp sugar
- Chill two tall glasses or silver goblets in the freezer for an hour or more.
- In the meantime chop 8 mint leaves with the sugar and pour on the boiling water.
- Leave until cool and strain to extract the mint essence.
- Fill glasses with crushed ice.
- Add the mint extract and bourbon.
- Garnish the glasses with a small bunch of mint leaves and serve with a straw.
