Mint Julep

Very Refreshing

  • Handful of fresh mint
  • ¼ cup boiling water
  • Crushed ice
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • 2 tsp sugar
  1. Chill two tall glasses or silver goblets in the freezer for an hour or more.
  2. In the meantime chop 8 mint leaves with the sugar and pour on the boiling water.
  3. Leave until cool and strain to extract the mint essence.
  4. Fill glasses with crushed ice.
  5. Add the mint extract and bourbon.
  6. Garnish the glasses with a small bunch of mint leaves and serve with a straw.
