Spiced Crab Apples
Great way to use crab apples
- 4 cup sugar
- 2 cup water
- 1 cup vinegar
- 2 sticks cinnamon (broken)
- 2 tsp whole cloves
- 6 cups crab apples
- Heat sugar, water, vinegar, cinnamon and cloves to boiling in a sauce pan.
- Drop 1 cup of the apples into syrup and cook until tender.
Pack in hot mason jar.
Add hot syrup to 1/2-inch from top and cover.
- Repeat with remaining apples.
- Keep in refrigerator once cooled.
