Spiced Crab Apples

Great way to use crab apples

  • 4 cup sugar
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 sticks cinnamon (broken)
  • 2 tsp whole cloves
  • 6 cups crab apples
  1. Heat sugar, water, vinegar, cinnamon and cloves to boiling in a sauce pan.
  2. Drop 1 cup of the apples into syrup and cook until tender.
  3. Pack in hot mason jar.

  4. Add hot syrup to 1/2-inch from top and cover.

  5. Repeat with remaining apples.
  6. Keep in refrigerator once cooled.
